Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas

Craving chips or popcorn? Make these roasted chickpeas instead! This recipe leaves room for your imagination, so feel free to mix up the spices and add as much or little as you like. Chickpeas are rich in fibre and complex carbohydrates. Perfect for a crunchy movie night snack or as a crispy crouton salad topper.

1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1½ tbsp avocado oil
Desired spices – salt, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, curry powder etc.


1. Preheat oven to 425F.
2. On a baking sheet, drizzle chickpeas in avocado oil and toss with desired spices.
3. Roast chickpeas for 20 – 30 minutes till golden and crispy. Turning off the heat, leave the chickpeas in the oven for an additional 30 to 60 minutes to make them extra crunchy. Enjoy!
